ESSEX CALL CENTRE
Essex County Council promotes its
work under four main themes.
Through our
Greener Essex campaign we are encouraging people to take
personal responsibility for the environment, promoting the
message that the smallest steps can make a real difference.
Getting Essex
Moving explains how the council is battling congestion caused by
the huge increase in the number of cars in the county while
supporting public transport improvements.
The councils
work in ensuring that as many Essex people as possible are able
to live within supportive communities and reach their full
potential is explored in Independence and Opportunity.
Supporting
Essex Families and Children covers the work of the County
Council as a children support agency, helping children and
families through difficult times and ensuring the best possible
education for pupils in the county´s 575 schools.

Recently installed by
Viscom are several NEC 42" Plasmasync screens for use in the
new Essex County Councils Call Centre in Colchester.
Using software supplied by BT the call centre has a
visual indication of the number of telephone calls
waiting and the number of telephone calls taken during
day.

A standard Computer
wall point was provided along with two Kramer signal
amplifiers which drives the data signal over some 150
feet.
Blending into a wall or
hanging unobtrusively from a ceiling, the PlasmaSync™
VP5 turns an ordinary space into a sophisticated
multimedia environment. With multi screen operations,
broad source compatibility, Digital Zoom capabilities,
and of course outstanding image quality, it is ideal for
call centres, conference room presentations,
videoconferencing, control room and broadcast
applications.
