Digital Signage Installations
LCD displays are ideal for use in schools, coporate, retail shops, hospitality and call centres. Their ultra slim profile, stunning video quality and image brightness make them perfectly suited to environments with high ambient light levels such as rooms with large windows. A range of sizes are available from 32" to large 57" and now 80" displays are available. (February 2009)
Multinational Company Initial Rentokil choose Viscom to supply and install a dozen large format Samsung Networkable LCD displays in their Dudley, West Midlands call centre.

We required each screen in the call centre to display unique information to each department and the networkable displays did just this with a clear bright image in bright room light. The system is easy to use and information can be easily updated each day, if necessary, by our IT people"
Samsung software allows you to connect a monitor through an existing Ethernet LAN, making it ideal for public display, signage and internal applications. The software offers businesses all the benefits of digital signage without the need for a dedicated PC for each display. An example of this could be, a retail store can showcase the latest apparel on one set of displays, items that are on sale on another set of displays and a store directory on still yet another set of displays -- all from one PC.
Call Centres themselves vary in their size and requirements, however the need to show caller displays to large groups of people possibly on different floors, remains the same. In smaller centres one or two LCD (or plasma screens) can be incorporated. However, in the larger sites there can be as many as a hundred or more, all displaying caller information.
Authorised users can update the content to show different content on different displays, at different times and schedule content up to a month in advance and also allows users to view the current programming on any selected Samsung display.
Essex Call Centre
Recently installed by Viscom are several NEC 42" Plasmasync screens for use in the new Essex County Councils Call Centre in Colchester. Using software supplied by BT the call centre has a visual indication of the number of telephone calls waiting and the number of telephone calls taken during day.
Standard Computer wall points were provided along with Kramer signal amplifiers which drives the data signal over some 150 feet.
